A very disappointing build. Instructions unclear and confusing at points. Some serious clutching problems, especially on the wings, making the final model flimsy with some bad design elements. Some serious colour variations between the parts is also evident.

 In relation to compatible bricks and expensive buy. Set is of good quality and includes some nice 'chrome' pieces. Pretty cool skeleton!

MOC - STAIRWAY DELI

The deli is now partially finished and has been added to Luboville. It has changed significantly since the original post and is due to being forced to build based on the bricks available. In your mind you know exactly what you want and how the final model should look and then the frustration and not having all the bricks!

Ground floor is the deli, with a cooking, wash up and service area. The first floor living area has a bathroom, bedroom and balcony. We created a platform in the roof area which will be turned into an office and TV lounge.
There is still a lot of detail we aim to add and the odd mistake that needs to be fixed going forward.

The book - Build Your Own City, simply put a complete disappointment and really not worth the money, even considering the reduced price!

MAZDA MX5

The Mazda MX5 or Miata, depending on where you live was always a dream car since I can remember.

"The ultimate roadster: a convertible sports car to set you heart racing..." We have owned our baby for going on two years now, and with each opportunity we get to drive her I end up with a huge smile!

To find pics of the car built out of Lego® added a smile and reinforced the joy of this amazing vehicle. A brick version of our car is now on the cards...

LEGO SERIOUS PLAY®

Our investigations lead us to discover that there is a certification workshop taking place in Johannesburg during November 2014. After careful research and a lot of data collection, we know this will provide a unique product to add to our consultancy and aim to be providing LSP workshops by end November 2014.

Excitement and love of the creative bricks has been ignited anew, lets play at work!

THE LEGO MOVIE

It was Heritage Day yesterday and we took the opportunity to finally sit down and watch The Lego Movie.

"Everything is Awesome", everything in the movie is indeed awesome! 

We were impressed how the animation resembled stop-motion, bearing in mind everything was done through computer graphics, and have to commend Animal Logic for following the same articulation limits that actual Lego figures have.

A family movie (filled with quick humor that only adults will get & appreciate) that reminds us to inspire children, allow them to explore their creativity and think beyond instruction sheets.

Be warned though, The Lego Movie ties-in with 17 new building sets & 16 new characters - admittedly we have already been our and purchased three of the sets!

Lastly we have learned that a sequel is being written and is scheduled to be released May 26, 2017.

MOC - OCTAN SERVICE STATION

Our first 'MOC'..

Service station is built entirely from 'compatible bricks' with all stickers printed by ourselves. The go-mart features a Point of sale, a rack with various products and a cooldrink fridge against the back wall.

As our brick collection grows the service station will definitely be upgraded and improved on.
